All this talk of wine was making our group very hungry. Next stop, La Posada del Jamón, a family owned restaurant specializing in all things pork. The restaurant is located in Vista Flores, and within the department of Tunuyán. Here, Don Miguel Cairo and his wife María Mabel Bordoy graciously serve pork sausage, cured pork, air dried pork, and all the fixings to complement, you guessed it..pork!
Attached to the restaurant you’ll also find a great little shop featuring locally produced artesanías . Two from our group just had to go home with their very own jamón/prosciutto clamp holder! I purchased several items, including a mate holder, hand made pin and dulce de leche..
Assorted pork charcuterie..
I believe that a certain sommelier from Texas was so impressed by La Posada del Jamón that he begged to purchase a plate or two as a souvenir!
